DMACC Staff and Faculty Volunteer Guidelines

Approval from both your direct supervisor and vice president is required before signing up for a shift. All volunteers will receive an admission ticket, t-shirt (size guaranteed if signed up by July 15), and a $10 food voucher. No parking passes will be provided – you are encouraged to utilize the DART Park & Ride option. Information can be found here.

Administrative Professional, Support Staff

  • Staff may work up to 2 consecutive fair shifts during regular working hours, as approved by your supervisor and VP. (2 consecutive fair shifts equals one 8-hour workday). 
  • Part-time employees may work up to 2 consecutive fair shifts during regular working hours, as approved by your supervisor and VP.  (2 consecutive fair shifts equals one 8-hour workday). 
  • Full-time, salaried employees may select an evening or weekend shift and adjust their working hours with approval from their supervisor and VP. 
  • Additional shifts may be worked outside of working hours or by using approved PTO but will be considered volunteer time.

Faculty

  • Faculty are approved to count one shift as Institution Building. Any shifts above and beyond that are considered volunteer.
  • Adjunct faculty are welcome to volunteer. 
Please note:

  • Student Services: If you are a student services employee, who would like to focus on meeting with current or potential students, assisting with applications, financial aid questions, registration, etc, please select this option. You can also function as a Booth Volunteer when not meeting with students. Guidelines above regarding paid time still apply, and supervisor and VP approval must
    be given. 
  • Booth Volunteer: If you would like to operate as a general booth volunteer, (run the photo booth, pass out giveaways, answer general questions), please select this option.  Guidelines above regarding paid time still apply, and supervisor and VP approval must be given.
